Most of the problem pests dwell in the landscape, not in the home. The generic name for these annoyances is "dooryard" pests. If these pests are effectively blocked from entering your home, there is little need for the application of pest management materials in the interior of the home. At Stanley Pest Control, our Perimeter Service Program is designed to reduce the need for additional interior treatments after the initial service (if the problem is the control of a dooryard pest).
Interior Treatments.
Interior areas are inspected and treated specifically for the pests present in your home. A combination of residual insecticides, repellents, baits and traps may be used based on your concerns and particular pests.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM). The Greener Approach
If you prefer a more eco-friendly solution to pest management, after a thorough inspection of your property, we will identify the pests present and will help you decide whether or not the pest population in and around your home is tolerable. Often what many consider to be "pests" are actually non-harmful insects that control other unwanted bugs and can be beneficial to the ecosystem around your house, but we understand that doesn't always mean you want them in or near your home.
We will create a plan for you with steps to help you control unwanted pests using the least damaging methods to the environment, your home, and your family. Often these methods include changing habits, trapping insects, relocating or trimming shrubbery, sealing cracks, and sealing and storing food properly. With an integrated pest management approach, we try to avoid the use of pesticides unless other methods have not worked.

Many new customers often ask "Why do I need your service year round, especially in winter?" Living in California is the envy of many people and pests. Southern California provides the perfect environment for pests to remain active, even in our winter or rainy months. Our service is a year round program. Many new challenges arise in the cooler months, including rodent and other pests invading our homes looking for shelter. Pests prefer warm, dry locations.
